Environmental Product Data: From Regulation to Real Building Decisions
CPR. EPBD. Digital Product Passports. Building LCA.
Europe’s construction sector is entering a new phase. Environmental product information must become more reliable, scalable and digitally usable – not only for regulatory compliance, but also for assessing the environmental performance of buildings.
What will change? What data will be needed? And how can we make the transition work in practice?
Join policymakers, manufacturers, construction professionals, EPD Programme Operators, LCA experts and digital solution providers to explore the challenges, identify practical solutions and shape the next steps together.

Understand what’s changing in the morning. Work on solutions in the afternoon.
Conference Programme
Wednesday, 18 November 2026 · SPARKS, Brussels
The revised Construction Products Regulation is moving from legislation towards practical implementation.
What is already decided? Which standards, cPCRs and verification arrangements are still under development? What does this mean for manufacturers, EPD Programme Operators and the wider environmental product data ecosystem?
With perspectives from the European Commission, CEN, the construction products industry and EPD Programme Operators, this session will explore the key implementation challenges and priorities.
Take-away: A clearer understanding of the regulatory transition, remaining uncertainties and the most important implementation risks.
Moderators: Olympia Dolla – ECO Platform (Vice president), Pascal Eveillard – ECO Platform (AGI Chair)
Welcome: Håkon Hauan – ECO Platform (President)
Speakers & Panelists: Oscar Nieto – European Commission DG GROW, Dieter De Lathauwer – DG ENV / CEN/TC 350, Christophe Sykes – Construction Products Europe (CPE), Sebastiaan Stiller – EPD International
10:30 - 11:00 – Coffe Break & Networking
As Member States prepare to implement building life-cycle GWP requirements, important questions arise about the environmental product data needed for building calculations.
Which data sources will be accepted? What role will verified EPDs and generic data play? How will national databases and calculation approaches evolve? And how can unnecessary fragmentation be avoided?
This session connects the EU framework with emerging national implementation approaches and the practical needs of building-level users.
Take-away: A better understanding of national implementation challenges, common product-data quirements and where harmonisation matters most.
Moderator: Christian Donath – ECO Platform (Managing Director)
Speaker: Bunthan Iea – European Commission DG ENER
